# About Raw food
Raw foods are eaten by raw and uncooked.
It has much of vitamins, minerals, enzymes and antioxidant.
Raw food should not be heated above 118F (48C).
Below 48C, the enzymes of food stay alive and can
fulfill their critical functions.
Eating raw and living foods, gives us energy and vitality.

What is food? Food is the foundation for a healthy
and happy family. I started studying macrobiotics
in 1999. I took a Macrobiotic teacher training
course and eventually graduated from Lima cooking
school.
I started a small cafe and cooking school in my
home, where I taught macrobiotic cooking and how to
make natural desserts. I was receiving a lot
of positive feedback from my customers who were
primarily housewives. They were pleased because
most of the recipes were delicious but simple and
easy for them to recreate at home.
After 300 or so students had passed through our
school, my husband Osamu and I decided we wanted to
live a more natural lifestyle, closer to nature.
So we left Tokyo and moved to Wakayama prefecture.
Once in Wakayama, a voice inside of me was telling
me that something was still missing. I continued to
study and came across two books that had the answer
- "Fit for Life" and "Natural Diet". From these two
books I learned about the importance of enzymes.
Our daily activities are supported by over 5,000
enzymes including the enzymes needed for digestion
at every meal.
I also studied Ayurvedic cooking with Ms. Yoshie
Suzuki. Ayurvedic cooking uses many kinds of spices
but almost no chili. The mildly spiced dishes are
flavorful and aid digestion.
We don't need to eat until we're full at each meal.
But our minds and spirits do need to be satisfied
at each meal.
I felt my energy levels increasing after I
incorporated what I had learned from studying raw
food and Ayurvedic cooking into my already
macrobiotic diet. We were getting benefits from
each one.
Between 2006 and 2011, we had over 300 students
come to our home and study Ayurvedic cooking and
raw food preparation with us. Our cooking class was
in a local newspaper in 2007 and also in a
vegetarian magazine in 2008. We appreciate all the
people and friends who came to study with us! Thank
you!
Since May of 2011, we have been living in Bali. And
what a wonderful place Bali is, with so many
locally grown fruits, vegetables, and rice! I am
working on creating a new Bali vegan cooking style
that uses local foods.

「アーユルヴェーダ」のお料理は本当に不思議なくらい辛くないお料
理です。スパイスを適量使うのでおいしい上に、からだに刺激がほとん
どなくお子様でも安心して食べられるお料理です。2008年5月から
開始しました。(^^
「アーユルヴェーダ」はインドの伝承医学です。
インドのお料理と言うと、「日本人に合わないのでは?」と思う方も
いらっしゃることでしょう。
大丈夫です。
アーユルヴェーダは、食べ方の原理、原則を示すものなので、私たち
が日常に食べている食事に応用できるんですよ。
いつもの食事が消化によく、自分の体質にあったお味に変身します♪
そして、決して辛いものではありません。
お料理に使うスパイスも、もちろん刺激の少ない、むしろとっても体
にやさしいものを使います。
ですので小さいお子さんからお年よりまで安心して食べられます。(^^
アーユルヴェーダも奥が深い世界です。
約1年かけて4コースを習得することができます。
このコースは、東京の鈴木余紫恵先生から学んだもので、「お金と時
